Many items come unassembled in flat boxes, helping to keep shipping costs down. In turn we pass that savings on to you, the consumer. Each item comes with pictoral directions and all of the hardware you will need to assemble your piece. In many cases, specialized tools are also included in the hardware pack. Be prepared to supply some of your own basic tools, which will vary depending on your project. Some common tools are: Philips screwdriver, flat screwdriver, pliers and a hammer or mallet.
Assembly Fees and Lead Times
If you do not have time, or simply don’t want to bother with assembly, elements will be happy to do it for you. Typically, assembly is performed by our Warehouse staff. The assembled piece is available for pick up only at our Warehouse, or can be delivered. NOTE: Not all items can be assembled for pick-up. Some items are too large to transport assembled, because the risk of damage during transport is too great. We recommend delivery for these items, which will then be assembled on site. Usually we require 7 – 10 days for completion of assembly. If you have given no specific instructions for how accessories are to be placed on an item (doors, shelf spacing), elements will assemble the merchandise as logic dictates. The following are fees charged for assembly:
Customers are asked to call the warehouse to set up their delivery. Our delivery staff will bring the items into your home or office and place it in the room of your choice. Deliveries may be scheduled only on fully paid salesorders and are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Our deliveries are scheduled in 2 hour increments. Delivery of multiple items, or on-site assembly may result in an extended delivery time slot. Delivery fees vary by area. (see Fees)
Setting up your delivery
Call our Warehouse at (952) 931-9559 to set up your delivery. Deliveries may only be scheduled for fully paid salesorders and are generally scheduled in 2 hour increments. Customers must be present at the delivery and will need to sign that the merchandise was received in satisfactory condition.
Rescheduling or Cancelling a delivery
We ask that cancellations for scheduled deliveries be made 24 hours in advance of its scheduled time. If our delivery truck arrives at your home within the prearranged 2 hour time slot and you are not at home, our staff will attempt to call you at the numbers you have provided us and will wait 15 minutes past the time they arrive. If no one arrives by that time, the truck will return to the Warehouse with the merchandise and you will need to reschedule your delivery and be charged another delivery fee.
Preparing your space for delivery
To ensure that your delivery goes as smoothly as possible and to reduce the risk of damage, please prepare for your delivery as follows:
Release of Liability
If our delivery staff feels that an item will not fit safely thru any doorway or hallway without potential damage to either the piece or to your home, we reserve the right to decline to continue. If the situation is a close call, we may ask the customer to sign a Release of Liability Form, releasing elements from any responsibility for damage incurred to the customers home, or to the product itself.
